Nextra newsagency at Wagga Marketplace closes for good

The Nextra newsagency at Wagga Marketplace has closed its doors after the shop’s lease expired.

On Wednesday, shoppers looking for gifts, magazines and news found signs on the doors informing them of the closure, telling them to go to Woolworths if they wanted to buy a newspaper.

One of the largest “paper shops” in Wagga, it had been open for close to 20 years, long before Nextra took over.

The Nextra newsagencies at Sturt Mall and Kooringal Mall remain open.
