A fine day. Put in a solid morning on the equipment. In the afternoon went by car to Sol. le Chateu and brought back some comforts consisting of sugar, milk and cocoa with some puddings. Heard that leave to Brussels is to be granted so intend to apply at once. Our team was beaten to-day in the Division final for Australian Rules. Decided to give the lads a good New Year, so arranged for a concert, card tournament and dance to be held on the night of 31st. Will also put in a good supper so they should do well.
