Interviewed Major Wilson about likelihood of commissions being still granted and learnt that no more were going so will not have that on my mind now. Fixed everything up during the afternoon and repaired to the Hotel Rubens where I had dinner. Rather a 1st class hotel with Generals in full strength, in fact I’m the only ranker present. Arranged to be called in the morning at 6 in order to catch the train for Folkestone.
