Had breakfast about 9.30 after which went for a walk with Mr. Harper into the country round Glasgow. Went round the town with Will in the afternoon and at night tried to get into one of the numerous picture shows, but they were all packed with queues lined up outside. Every house of amusement was the same. The streets were packed with people and it was difficult to walk along. Everything looking bright, windows well dressed and business going briskly. Yarned until midnight when I turned in.
