Jeffery thought they team had a poor attitude against the previously winless Bulldogs and it cost them.
However he believes the team is in a better headspace.
“We had a poor attitude, poor numbers at training but we’ve discussed that and had good numbers on Tuesday,” Jeffery said.
“Hopefully we can try and play some good footy as we played alright footy for probably 60 minutes but there’s 20 minutes in there that really lets us down.
“It has been the story of our season really.”
In a boost to their chances, the Wagga club will welcome back livewire fullback Tristan Dickson while Steve O’Neill comes back onto the bench.
Star recruit Jack Lyons is also closing in on a return after breaking his wrist in the opening round loss to his former club Southcity.
