Read today's entry from Harry Gissing's 1914-18 war diaries

May 18, 1918

Very wet day with a cool change and little rain during afternoon. A quiet day with a few shells put into the village about 10 p.m. More hockey. Had a visit from Major of Depot of Medical Stores, a new idea and a good one as his duty is to see if there are any drugs lying idle, and if so to take them back. Had a visit from a man named Ede who enlisted with me in 1914.
