A very hot day, our first real summer day and everyone is feeling the effects of it. Saw a scrap in the air in which our chaps drove down a Fritz and some hours later the smashed machine went past our station. Had a strenuous game of hockey, scores 7 all and then had a lovely bath with clean change. Very noticeable how thin I am, my legs like matches. I’m afraid that I’m in need of a spell. A few shells falling close to-night and something may develop later.
