Ainsley Jenkins and Stephen Moore have both received a $5000 short film grant, removing barriers and creating opportunities in front and behind the camera.
Ms Jenkins said she would film someone with an intellectual disability whose art focuses on his love of nature.
“It’s about giving people a voice who don’t normally have one with a platform to talk about their own struggles and lives,” Ms Jenkins said.
Mr Moore said filmmaking was a communal art form, which takes a group of people with their own unique skills.
“It’s important for people with disabilities to have access to the film-making medium to tell stories and to interpret the world,” Mr Moore said.
