Work is set to start on Monday and will be carried out between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
The $600,000 project is expected to take four weeks to complete.
The speed limit will be reduced to 40 km/h during working hours and 80 km/h after hours.
Work will involve road widening, removing roadside hazards and upgrading intersections.
Traffic controllers and mobile traffic lights will be on site to guide traffic.
