Police clocked the 17-year-old travelling at 171km/h at about 8.30pm on Thursday, despite his licence restricting him to just 90km/h.
When officers pulled over the driver, they noticed two young passengers were also in the car.
The 17-year-old has only had his licence for three months prior.
He was issued a court attendance notice and had his car impounded indefinitely.
