Wagga jockey Rebeka Prest is ready to get back in the saddle at next Saturday’s Tumut Cup meeting after a long lay off due to injury.

Prest has been out of action since early October after breaking a finger while riding in Alice Springs last year. The apprentice had two wins and a second in her last nine rides.

The Tumut Cup is a rare late-autumn meeting after being postponed due to extreme heat in February.
