Adam Hilton will shave his exceptionally long facial hair in August for the charity he said helped his grandmother after she was widowed.
Mr Hilton said the organisation was close to his heart. He said Legacy looked after “Nan and her family” following the death of her husband – a returned serviceman – in 1954.
Mr Hilton kick-started his fundraising efforts with an “op-shop spectacular” this month and now a gofundme page will help continue the feat until Legacy Week.
“I’ve always had a soft spot for Legacy,” Mr Hilton said. “They just recently paid for a VitalCall unit for Nan.”
For the first time in four years, Mr Hilton will be clean shaven, as he removes his chest-length beard for a family legacy.
