A little boy has died after he was unknowingly hit by a car at a Cootamundra home on Tuesday.

Police say a car was leaving the driveway of a Sutton Street home around 4pm when the three-year-old was struck.
The 41-year-old man behind the wheel continued to drive, unaware the toddler had been run over and was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called and the child was rushed to Cootamundra Base Hospital, where he sadly passed away.
A crime scene was established at the Sutton Street location and detectives from Cootamundra Local Area Command began their investigations.
The driver was located by police and has since undergone mandatory blood and urine tests.
Investigations into the tragic incident are continuing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
