Mount Austin Public School students put on a drumming exhibition as part of its Harmony Day celebrations, to showcase their skills and encourage inclusiveness and belonging.
Principal Anna Middleton said the event was focused on sharing the spirit of harmony.
“The event is to remind the community why our cultural diversity is one of our school’s greatest assets,” Ms Middleton said.
“We are stronger because of it.”
Refugee students from across the country joined the new Iraq students on stage, before sharing stories in the classroom.
