LOCAL motorcycle riders are being urged to rev up to combat depression at a special event on Sunday.

Wagga’s fourth annual Black Dog Ride will launch from Gumly Gumly at 8am on Sunday, with up to 200 riders expected to take part. The group will ride to Tumburumba and Tumut before finishing back at North Wagga’s Palm and Pawn.

Organiser Graham Falconer said he hoped the event would put help start a conversation around depression and suicide.

“It touches so many people,” Mr Falconer said.
