Maloney said players involved in Waratah League basketball have helped him mature from a development player to a team captain.
“I’ve always had guys with a lot of experience help me, like Paul Prowse, Matt Bishop, Joey Howard, guys who I could learn off,” he said.
One of his greatest supporters, his mum, has kept a record of his game tally since his Wagga Heat debut at 15.
Maloney wants a win against Springwood Scorchers; his parents have rallied more than 30 family members and friends, who have supported him for seven years, to watch the match.
