Ben Devries, 9, and Natalia Horsley, 11, broke Mater Dei 50m freestyle records.
Carnival organiser Stephen Carroll commended the kids and has tipped Devries as the 2018 junior boy’s champion.
“We have some good swimmers,” he said.
“A lot of them are in Wagga Swim Club.”
Of the 300 participants, there were three clear standouts; age champions Henry Keough, Natalia Horsley and Xavier McDevitt who won most of their events.
Plunkett scored the points in the inter-house tournament, and MacKillop won the ‘spirit shield’, awarded to a house of kids conscious of keeping their area clean and cheering on the day.
