Lyons was part of the Bulls success last season but it set to become a permanent fixture in the Kangaroos backline.
The 21-year-old is looking forward to the challenge of joining a new club after the Kangaroos struggled to be competitive last season.
“I basically wanted a change and a challenge,” Lyons said.
“They are a developing team at the moment so I think being part of that will be good.”
Lyons scored 56 tries for the Bulls in the last three seasons.
With speed to burn Kangaroos coach Ben Jeffery believes the Country Bulls representative will make a big impact at centre.
“Jack is a quality player and is only going to get better with age,” Jeffery said.
“He’s played in the finals for the last three years in a row for Southcity so he knows how to play the hardest level of footy.”
Jeffery also expects former Junee flyer Tristan Dickson to come on board.
Dickson had a year away from rugby league with Riverina League club Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes, where he kicked 25 goals in 17 matches.
Jeffery believes they could become a lethal try-scoring combination.
Kangaroos have also signed former Roosters SG Ball player Dylan McLachlan with the halfback set to join Jeffery in the halves.
They’ve also picked up Carl Planicka, who played with Young in 2015, after he moved to Wagga.
