It would appear Kate Morell has given people a reason to look out their windows at sun down.
Her collection of sunset photos has grown from 200 to almost 3000 in days.
Mrs Morell was diagnosed with Ushers syndrome meaning she was born deaf and is losing her sight.
She recently put out a call for sunset images for herself and others with Ushers to enjoy while they still can.
“I think we are onto something,” she said.
“People love taking pictures of sunsets and they love sharing them.
“I’m getting so many emails, it’s just so positive.”
Mrs Morell set a goal of obtaining more than 14,000 images, the estimated number of sunsets she would miss if she was to go blind at 50.
