Just after 8pm on Tuesday, a 15-year-old boy was riding his scooter home along O I Bell Drive when he was approached by a man driving a Nissan Patrol.
Police have been told the man allegedly started to speak to the boy and offered him a ride.
The boy declined and as he attempted to walk away, the driver allegedly tried to lure the boy into the vehicle on several more occasions.
Officers attached to Cootamundra Local Area Command were contacted and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, officers attended a venue on Park Road, Luddenham and arrested a 60-year-old man.
He was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with intimidation and granted bail.
