Emergency services were called about 3.20pm after a Toyota LandCruiser left the road and landed on its side close to the Muttama Road near Coolac.
The four-wheel drive was towing a Nissan Silvia designed for drift racing.
The driver of the vehicle managed to free themselves from the cabin before an ambulance arrived at the scene.
Paramedics assessed the driver and was given the all clear without needing to be transported to hospital.
