Class Clowns is a high school comedy competition and is bringing a heat to Wagga for the first time.
Comedian Dane Simpson was at the Botanic Gardens on Thursday with Kildare Catholic College students to teach them a few tricks.
“Class Clowns is an awesome opportunity for young people to enter into the comedy world and get some skills in a range of things including engaging audiences and coping with nerves,” Mr Simpson said.
Workshops will be held during school holidays and the day of the evening Wagga heat performances on March 16, 2017.
The winner will go to the state finals.
“I honestly hope that not only do we get someone representing country NSW in the state final but that person gets to go to the MICF and takes out the entire competition,” Mr Simpson said.
