The Wagga City coach starred for Riverina at the Country Championships earlier this month, as the region celebrated its best carnival in the last decade.
They won two of the three matches, with the only loss coming against eventual champions Western.
Nicoll led the charge in all three matches, 69, 79 not out and 81 in his three innings.
He is looking forward to the opportunity.
“It is good to go away do well and be selected,” Nicoll said.
It is the second time Nicoll will have played at the championships, after being selected when he was based in Canberra in 2010-11.
Former Wagga cricketers Dhali Bloomfield and Cameron Suidgeest were also selected in the team.
The only other Riverina player with Albury left-arm quick Jarryd Hatton.
