More than 400 collectors over two days scoured the fair for bargains, rare finds and remaining items on their ‘must find’ lists.
Wagga Stamp and Coin Club secretary Peter Simpfendorfer said Saturday was the best day they have had for five years.
“I don’t know why this is any better than previous years,” he said.
“We are very happy.”
Club president Bob Edyvean purchased a stamp from Mr Simpfendorfer he stumbled across in his collection worth $425.
Mr Edyvean identified it as a rare item due to its watermark.
“He brought it off me for a very fair price,” Mr Simpfendorfer said.
