With a heavy sigh of relief, Wagga’s class of 2000 finished the HSC this week. It was the final HSC under the current format, with the new course exams being held next year.
After 20 years of operation, the Riverina and Western Districts sub-branch of the Rats of Tobruk has been forced to fold. Just 28 of the original 82 members remain.
Riverina motorists continue to endure some of the highest petrol prices in the state, with Wagga and Hay listed in the top 10 most expensive towns. NRMA Limited’s survey of October petrol prices revealed Wagga fuel sold for 103.2 cents per litre and Hay 103 cents per litre.
The suggestion to install a taxi stand outside the Victoria hotel was greeted with approval by the Community Consultative Committee.
