Australian Special Air Service veteran and amputee Laurie Sams, who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), lost his leg in a freak skydiving accident.
The mental health campaigner chose to ride 10,000km in deference to the Vietnam War lasting 10,000 days.
“The toughest part was getting smashed by the storms that brought the South Australian power lines down,” Mr Sams said.
Donations go towards raising awareness of military veterans who have suffered physical or psychological trauma through military service.
