A couple of hundred people participated in the Walk to D’Feet MND around Lake Albert on Sunday morning.
About $15,000 was raised in Wagga to go towards assisting those living with Motor Neurone Disease and research into a cure.
“We had a great walk around the lake and we were all together in our blue T-shirts,” Mrs O’Hara said.
“You feel like you’re part of a family, you’re all the time talking with each other.”
Mrs O’Hara lost her husband to MND and has since crusaded to raise money and awareness for those in the same situation.
She was approached by people who had lost their spouse to the disease and she said she finds comfort in provide support for others.
