Wagga photographer Juliette Cavendish spent a week trailing the Moscow Circus when they were in the city last.
She photographed their training and performances and developed a new appreciation for their talents.
“It was really amazing,” she said.
“It changed my perspective on how hard these people work.”
Ms Cavendish won an award for a series of images called Hold Me Tightly that she submitted to International Prix de la Photographie Paris 2016.
The name was meant to reflect the close confines the artists worked in and the chemistry they exuded.
The photos were awarded a certificate of achievement medal for outstanding talent.
“I was really happy,” she said.
“I thought it was a fitting end to the week I spent with them.”
Ms Cavendish has since donated the photos to the circus.
She is currently preparing to open her studio in Springvale next month.
