A search was carried out at a Glenfield Park home just before noon on Monday, when detectives from the Wagga Local Area Command executed a warrant at the address.
During the search, police seized a range of items, including laptop computers, mobile phones, electronic storage devices and DVDs.
It is alleged officers also uncovered cannabis leaf and a water pipe.
That raid and subsequent investigations led police to a Glenfield Park home on Wednesday, where they arrested a 39-year-old man.
He has been charged with two counts of possessing child abuse material and one each of possessing a prohibited drug and possessing equipment for administering prohibited drugs.
The man was granted bail and will next appear before Wagga Local Court on April 6.
