
A woman has been charged after allegedly trying to kill her husband in Coolamon on Monday night.
The 35-year-old will face Wagga Local Court today on attempted murder charges after allegedly confessing to police that she had tried to harm her husband.
Officers were patrolling Mann Street in Coolamon when, around 8.10pm on Monday, they stopped and spoke to the woman.
“Inquiries led police to arrest the 35-year-old woman, after she told officers she had allegedly attempted to harm her husband,” a statement from police said.
Emergency services descended on a Wade Street home, where they found and treated a 44-year-old man for a cut to his throat.
He didn’t require further treatment.
Following her arrest, the woman was taken to Wagga police station, where she was charged and refused bail.
