
A MAN has been charged following the discovery of an elaborate indoor cannabis crop at a home in Godfreys Creek near Young yesterday.
About 10am Wednesday police executed a search warrant at a property on Carinya Estate, where they allegedly discovered 74 cannabis plants growing inside a shed with the use of heat lamps, exhaust fans, fertiliser and other equipment.
Officers also located a stolen industrial sized generator in a shed on the property, along with a further cannabis plants.
Police will allege the plants have an estimated potential street value of $152 000.
The 52-year-old occupant of the property was arrested and taken to Young Police Station where he was charged with cultivate prohibited plant >= commercial quantity and stolen goods in/on premises.
He was refused bail and will appear in Wagga Local Court today.
