A FORMER councillor known for his fierce independence and passion for Wagga has died, aged 71.
Ken Klemke, who served as a councillor from 2004 to 2008, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning.
A former electrician and manager of the old Grain Elevators Board, Mr Klemke is being remembered as a great family man and champion for Wagga.
