TO MARKET: Organisers behind Markets by the Lake debuted Wagga Beach Markets. They will return in February, while Markets by the Lake continue as usual.
THE highly successful debut of new markets at Wagga Beach will see them return in the new year.
Organisers behind the popular monthly Markets by the Lake launched Wagga Beach Markets on December 20 – and it promises to be the first of many. As the mercury topped 40 degrees, market-goers stocked up on local arts, crafts and produce ahead of Christmas. Organiser Stuart Wallace said they were such a hit that they would return next year.
“We had thousands who came out despite the heat. There were lots of new stalls. The community really supported it,” he said.
Wagga Beach Markets will be held on the third Sunday of every month starting in February, while Markets by the Lake will continue as usual from January 30.
