I hope that all shire residents have had a wonderful Christmas Day and that everyone is well rested after a day of family, friends, food and fun.
See year out with a bang
Don’t forget to celebrate the end of 2015 at the Coolamon NYE Street Party.
There’s plenty of things to entertain the kids with an animal farm, Beyond Bank Children’s marquee, jumping castles, face painting and more.
There’s also a wide range of cuisine options and live entertainment from 6pm. The sky will light up at 10pm with the feature event, the fireworks spectacular.
This is a free event with optional children’s wrist bands, $10 per child or $20 for a family of three, which gives them access to all the activities, amusements and a complementary sausage sandwich.
So come on down to Coolamon’s main street for a night of fun and to kickstart the new year in style.
Drive carefully this festive season
Double demerit points apply over this Christmas season until Monday, January 4. It’s a time for travelling and meeting with loved ones but please drive safely.
Boredom busters to keep kids happy
Coolamon Shire Council will be conducting some fantastic activities and events as part of the Summer School Holiday Program right through until Friday, January 22. For more information visit www.coolamon.nsw.gov.au or call the Coolamon Shire Library on 02 6927 2492.
Double the reasons to celebrate
Coolamon’s Music 4 Mates Committee has double cause for celebration this Christmas with the success of their recent raffle and mental health awareness day held at Rural Supplies on December 18.
It was wonderful to see local radio stations coming on board airing live from Coolamon, which is certainly a boost for the community.
All up, $2500 was raised with all funds going to Music 4 Mates next event.
