MEMO to Christmas light gazers: time is running out to catch a glimpse of Wagga’s spectacular displays.
Christmas light tour guide Connor McComas, who runs Messines Wedding and Carriage Hire, estimates there are hundreds of thousands of lights on Wagga streets this year.
Mr McComas said the best lights he’d seen were in Glenfield Park’s Garru Place, Mima Street and Gidgee Place.
“The thing about those homes is that it’s a real community-based activity,” he said.
“They have movies, the residents sit out on deck chairs and they invite you to have a look at the lights.
“It shows that it’s not just about the lights, but it’s the Christmas spirit as well.”
Other popular light-looking spots in Wagga include Loth Street in Ashmont and Bourkeland’s Waverly Place, Lyndoch Place and Kaloona Drive.
