THE president of the state’s peak hotel body has described the late Greg Williams as a “true larrikin” and industry icon.
It comes after Mr Williams, owner of the Astor Inn and Wagga’s longest serving publican, died on Monday, aged 53.
“He loved his horses, having a drink, a laugh and a yarn,” AHA NSW president Scott Leach said.
“Willie was a man who loved his family, was passionate about his local community and who had a deep and true commitment to the hospitality industry.”
