EMERGENCY services were forced to cut at least two people from their crashed car, following a serious two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. Ambulance, fire crews and police responded to reports of an accident on Edward Street, opposite Bolton Park, about 4.20pm.
Three people were transported via road ambulance to hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed, including one man aged in his 20s with neck and shoulder pain, a female in her 20s with neck and shoulder pain and a male in his 20s with neck and head pain.
By 5.30pm, crews were still working to free a person trapped in a black Holden Barina bearing green P-plates. The other vehicle involved in the crash was a Mistubishi Tritot ute, which was towed away. One westbound lane was closed as a result of the accident.
