5.30pm: Emergency services are cutting out one person still trapped in a black Holden Barina, with green p-plates.
Two fire units and three ambulances still remain on the scene.
One westbound lane remains closed.
A Mistubishi Tritot ute was the other vehicle involved in the crash.
5pm: Two people were trapped in their car for some time after a serious two-vehicle crash on Edward Street this afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the incident about 4.20pm.
Three people were transported via road ambulance to hospital, a NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed – one man aged in his 20s reported neck and shoulder pain, a female in her 20s with neck and shoulder pain and a male in his 20s with neck and head pain.
It is believes all three remain on scene with paramedics.
A fourth patient was rushed to hospital via private transport, the spokesman said.
