Matt Molkentin is placing his faith in his players and good old-fashioned hard work in his first season in charge of the Bombers.
Despite a flurry of recruitment activity at rival clubs, the coach is confident Marrar won’t be left behind.
“We’ve got a good group of mates and a good mix of young kids so, if we can get the most out of what we’ve got then I think we’ll be pretty handy,” Molkentin said.
“I think on our day we’ll be able to mix it with the best.”
Molkentin said they’re still talking to potential players but his focus is on fitness, as Marrar enter their second week of pre-season.
“We’ll be just doing a lot of hard gut-running and basic skills, just to get that touch. I think we let ourselves down a bit last year with our touch.”
