I would like to wish all Coolamon Shire and wider community members a very merry Christmas, a safe New Year and hope that this festive season is one of love, joy, hope and peace.
With Christmas right around the corner, shopping local is an excellent way to get those last-minute gifts. There are numerous local businesses within the shire that can cater for all ages and interests.
Church services
Christmas Eve church services will be held throughout the shire on the ‘night before Christmas’.
Coolamon – St Peters Uniting Church at 7pm.
Ganmain – Ganmain Uniting Church at 7.30pm.
Rannock – Rannock Uniting Church at 7.30pm.
Record crowds expected
The Coolamon New Years Eve Street Party is promising to be another fantastic event for the community.
Record crowds are expected to flock to Coolamon’s Cowabbie St for the event. Attendees can enjoy the live entertainment, street performance, jumping castle, face painting, animal farm and much more as well as the excellent fireworks.
Check out the Visit Coolamon Shire website or their Facebook page for information and updates.
A time of giving
Christmas is one of the biggest times of the year but for many families it is a time of financial strain and loneliness. Local charities such as Vinnies work hard to give to those in need and welcome any donations over the Christmas period. So please give generously!
