Coleambally trainer Matthew Painting lines up his two fast class pacers at Young on Tuesday.
Painting has both Wongalea Bingo and Rustys Reject in the Tyrepower Young Pace (2100m).
Rustys Reject returned to Painting’s stable for his first up test at Young last month and finished eight.
Painting is expecting a much better showing from the class pacer of the race.
“He will be a lot fitter,” Painting said. “He was under done for that race so I wasn’t going to knock him around.”
The six-year-old won two races start preparation for David Aiken and will head back to the Shepparton trainer soon, now that his successful Inter Dominion campaign with Lennytheshark is over.
“I’m just giving him a few runs to get his fitness up then we are sending him back down there,” Painting said.
On the over hand Painting couldn’t be more happier Wongalea Bingo.
“He’s probably racing in career best form,” he said.
