A driver has escaped a serious crash unscathed after his vehicle was sliced in two.
The passenger door, roof and a section of the canopy was sliced from the rest of the vehicle in a crash.
Remarkably the 55-year-old only sustained “relatively minor” injuries.
The car was travelling north on the Olympic Highway near The Rock when it wandered off the road at 7am on December 8.
Fatigue it believed to be a factor after he left Ballarat in the early hours of the morning.
He was the only occupant of the car and was taken to Wagga Base Hospital for observation.
Police say the accident is a timely reminder with Christmas just weeks away.
“Drivers need to take adequate rest breaks especially if driving at night,” inspector Peter Mclay said.
Police, ambulance and The Rock SES attended the accident.
