TUMUT trainer Kerry Weir planned to take Oh So Touchable to Adaminaby on Saturday until a last minute change of plans.
The owners, the Sturt family from Tumut, could not make it to Adaminaby and encouraged Weir to go to Wagga instead.
It turned out the right option as Oh So Touchable scored in a tight finish to the Noel Comerford’s Auto Parts Paints & Accessories Benchmark 55 Handicap (2000m).
The six-year-old bounced back from a last start failure at Gundagai last Saturday to edge out Little Miss Chelsy and Refaeli in a driving finish.
Weir praised his apprentice Megan Taylor for her winning ride.
“The jockey went too hard in front the other day, he came back and admitted that,” Weir said.
“Today Megan rode her 10 out of 10.
“It was a good win.”
It was Oh So Touchable’s third win from 26 starts to go with her seven placings.
