New helipad
The completion of the $282.1 million Wagga Rural Referral Hospital inched one step closer on Wednesday night with the successful test of the building’s new helipad.
The tests of the helipad were conducted as part of a certification process conducted ahead of the hospital’s opening.
The Wagga Rural Referral Hospital building will be handed over to Murrumbidgee Local Health District staff in the coming days, with its official opening slated for mid-January.
