A WAGGA woman is on a mission to rid the city of potholes in the streets.
So fed up was she with pothole-riddled road surfaces, Christine Buckland last week got a cheeky bumper sticker made up reading: “I’m not drunk, just dodging potholes in Wagga Wagga”.
It comes weeks after Ms Buckland performed another audacious stunt, placing a pot plant in the middle of a pothole in a local Woolworths car park.
Three days after the “planting”, the pot plant disappeared and the pothole was filled in.
“I’m just sick to death of potholes,” Ms Buckland said.
“Businesses and council are too slack to fix them.
“And when they do fix them, they sink back down not long after.”
Ms Buckland said fellow motorists seemed to support her campaign.
“A few have been tooting their horns and waving when they see the sticker,” she said.
