A Wagga woman has been rewarded with the highest honour within Rotary for her work with pregnant women and new mothers in the Congo.
Elaine Dietsch was surprised when her name was called to announce she was the recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow.
Mrs Dietsch first visited Africa in 2006 and has since worked tirelessly to improve the health of pregnant women.
She is a professor at Charles Sturt University.
