Residents hoping for bright sunny days in the lead-up to summer will get their wish this week.
The mercury is tipped to hit 38 degrees Celsius on Thursday.
The average November temperature is 25.8 degrees and the highest recorded was on November 26, 1997 at 42.8 degrees.
“We are not going to hit that, fingers crossed, this Thursday,” Bureau of Meteorology’s duty weather observer, Alison Skinn, said.
Miss Skinn said spikes in temperature during November are normal due to high pressure systems setting in.
Wagga has received 118.6mm of rain so far in November and is nearing the highest rain fall of 152.4mm, recorded in 2011.
Miss Skinn said Wagga is “absolutely blitzing” the November rainfall average of 45mm.
