- Mark and Gino Stocco are considered armed and dangerous. They are wanted for attempted murder, arson, fraud and theft. If you see them, or the vehicle they are travelling in, call triple-0 immediately and do not approach them.
The nation has watched engrossed as father-and-son fugitives - Gino and Mark Stocco - have led police from two states on a not-so-merry chase.
It's been nine days of choppers, tactical units, dog squads and police officers being pushed and pulled over thousands of kilometres.
And yes, none-too-surprisingly, now social media has joined in the commentary...
In a society where everything happens fast and results are expected now, the manhunt has fascinated millions across the country – and now it’s the inspiration behind a satirical Facebook page celebrating the Stoccos’ evasion tactics, Gino & Mark Stocco - 2015 Australian Hide & Seek Champions.
Despite the men being armed, dangerous and on the run after shooting at police, people have taken to Photoshop, satirising the search.
As well as posting memes submitted by the public, the creators behind the page have published tongue-in-cheek, often-profane status updates and check-ins that match the manhunt or a dysfunctional father-son relationship.
“Forgot to mention Mark's birthday yesterday. I was too cranky at only getting 26 and my beloved Wanderers getting done,” a post from Saturday, the night the Stoccos allegedly stole petrol from a South Gundagai service station, said.
“(Expletive) servo at Gundagai didn't have any cake mix so I made the young fella a birthday damper.”
