Collision closes highway
A SECTION of the Olympic Highway was closed on Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision about 3.55pm.
Emergency services responded to the accident about two kilometres west of Boorooma, near the Coolamon Road. A 50-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle some time, before managing to free himself.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene for minor head injuries, before he was taken to Wagga Base Hospital in a stable condition. The highway was re-opened at 4.45pm.
