Bushfire conditions OK for now
It may be hot and dry, but the conditions aren’t quite at tinderbox levels for this part of the state.
NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Riverina has no plans at this stage to bring forward the bushfire danger period from its November 1 date.
The RFS will have a meeting on Wednesday, where changing the danger date is expected to be discussed.
Western Riverina’s MIA RFS declared its bushfire danger period at the beginning of October and Albury looks likely to bring forward the date at least a week earlier.
